In our increasingly fragmented and lonely world, community is God's tool for life transformation. Biblical community is life-changing and healing; it's the essential core of the body of Christ.

| Our core values are sometimes considered unique in that we desire to bring together the mainstream Christian church with those that have been rejected, outcast and written off. We value togetherness, unity in the body of Christ, and healing wounded hearts. |

| Receiving and Giving |
| We as Christians desire to live under grace, to teach it always in our ministries and outreach, and to live as God's people under grace, not law nor legalism. |

| Reconciling and Inclusive |
| St Sebastians is to be a family embracing the full spectrum of race, age, gender, family status, sexual orientation, economic status and denominational background. |

| Relationships |
| Because they have an eternal dimension, relationships with others are infinitely more valuable than programs and materials. Relationships should always take precedence over busyness, cool stuff, numbers, and noise. Teams are about relationships more than goals. |

| Risk Taking |
| A commitment to intentional risk-taking and perpetual change. Maintaining the status quo is not an option. Continually asking the question, "What can we do that no one else in our area is offering?" |

| Unleashing of Gifts |
| Equipping the kids of God to discover their one-of-a-kind gifts and unique calling to ministry. Leadership is about helping others discover the fulfilling work He uniquely designed them to do (mentoring) and then empowering them to do it (constantly giving ministry away). |

| For God, for each other, for outsiders, for life. It's in our music, our laughter, our tears, our message, and our desire to serve. Energy, excitement, and buzz. There's a sense of anticipation of God's presence and power in whatever we're doing. |

| Authentcity |
| Real life. Real issues. Real people. We're all people who fail daily in need of day-to-day grace. Nothing glamorous or calculated. We confess, cry, struggle and worship together. The gritty, unfinished stories and mundane struggles of a community on a journey. We don't have things all figured out and neatly packed into boxes. |
